Where Stan Laurel grew up...

Geoffrey's Hands

Summer 2008

My Career So Far...

My career as a silent-era-cinema pianist began with my first performance for ADeC (Arts Development in East Cambridgeshire) on 14th June 2008 in The Lighthouse Auditorium, Ely, East Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom. After five weeks of frantic composing I accompanied three Buster Keaton and one Laurel and Hardy movies. I was presented by ADeC as "ADeC's Resident Pianist".
After that I composed a score for Karlheinz Martin's 1920 silent "Von morgens bis mitternachts", and I played it in public for the first time last 5th June 2009 in The Lothbury Centre, Weston Colville, South Cambridgeshire. I incorporated music by Alban Berg and Hanns Eisler into my performance.
